How to Become a Member Member Benefits

If you are a member of the Lexington Food Co-op, the Parkside Community Association, The Adam Plewacki #799 VFW Post, the Polish community Center of Buffalo, Inc.,  or a family member of an existing BCFCU member you can join!  You simply open a savings account with a $25.00 initial minimum deposit and pay a one time $5.00 membership fee.  Children under the age of 18 may join for free with an initial minimum deposit of $5.00.

Once you join, you are eligible to take advantage of the other services and accounts that the credit union offers.

Due to federal regulations we require proof of identity for all new members.  Please bring your Driver's license (or other government issued photo ID) and your social security card with you when you come in.

We like to get to know our members so we do not open accounts by mail or via the internet. If our member service hours are not convenient, we can often accomodate new members with advanced appointments at other times.

Please feel free to call or drop in for more information.

When you join the BCFCU, you join a community of people who believe in making their money work locally.

As a member you have access to some of the best loan rates and terms around.  Our loan officers believe in helping you find the lending solution that best meets your needs.

All savings accounts and basic checking are free.  Nominal charges apply to added features or services such as debit cards or cashier's checks. Our fees are low.

As a member you can participate in the Credit Union by serving on various committees.  These committees help develop policies and implement strategies for how the Credit Union serves its community.  The Board of Directors is elected each year in March by the membership from the membership.  Any adult member in good standing may be recruited to serve on a committee or nominated for a seat on the Board.

Member Testimonial

When I needed a small loan to help with my down payment to buy a home in the Parkside neighborhood, I decided to go to BCFCU instead of going to a large, corporate bank. They helped me get a loan quickly, and on good terms. More impor-tantly, however, they worked with me personally and took time to learn exactly what I needed.  I am grateful to the Credit Union for being a positive, proactive, and professional financial institution that serves the interests of our community and it’s residents.
