We have received several reports and warnings from our transaction processors that there has been an increase in fraudulent emails and text messages going around.

Due to the effects of the current economic conditions, the Board of the BCFCU has made the decision to suspend the Tuesday afternoon service hours at 385 Paderewski Drive.

The Credit Union's Annual Meeting has been scheduled for Monday, April 19, 2010 at 7:00pm at the Adam Plewacki Post #799, 385 Paderewski Drive. 

Please don't be fooled by any alarming emails or text messages claiming to be from us (or any financial instititution, or VISA, or FDIC, or NCUA) claiming that you have to follow a link or call a toll free number inorder to re-activate, validate or otherwise give out your personal or financial information.  If you do get a call from our fraud monitors, they will only ask you to validate information they already have and whether or not you authorized the suspect transaction.  If you have not authorized the transaction, they will place a fraud block on your card, send us notification, and instruct you to contact us directly.  They will never ask you to give them acount numbers, birthdates, entire social security numbers,etc...  When in doubt, call us (or the named financial institution) directly from info you have on your statement.

We'd like to welcome our new Teller, Rodney Bogardus.  Rodney started on February first.  He'll be in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

Thank you to everyone who applied for the part time teller position.  We are grateful for the time people took to apply and to interview with us.  We talked to many wonderful people and we had a hard time deciding. 

We've added a new games page filled with fun money related games for kids.   We are also creating a special newsletter especially for our youth program account holders.  Look for it in your statements in October.

 The CU staff has found some great websites to help members learn about and avoid fraud.  www.fakechecks.org and the Attorney Generals Office are full of resources and information.

The BCFCU Youth Week PARTY is THIS SATURDAY!!!   All BCFCU youth account holders in attendance will be eligible to win a great BIKE from CAMPUS WHEELWORKS!

The Annual meeting has been scheduled for Monday April 20, 2009 at 7PM.

It is being held at the Adam Plewacki Post #799 at 385 Paderewski Drive.  Please park in the lot off Memorial Drive and enter from the back of the building.  The space is wheelchair accessible.
