With the economy in its current condition, many people are more vulnerable than ever. Hopeful of increasing their income or getting easy debt relief, even those who are usually cautious can let their guard down. Fakecheck.org has helpful (and sometimes amusing) descriptions of common check scams. The US Postal Service Office of the Inspector General has provided us with some videos and handouts which members may find useful in recognizing scams and protecting themselves from Identity Theft. The Office of the Attorney General asked us to tell our members to report any kind of problems they have with scams, problems with collection agencies or businesses who do not deliver what is promised.
