The Buffalo Cooperative Federal Credit Union’s New Youth Program
Spring, which is a time for growth, has been an inspiration for us in creating our new youth program. Designed for those aged 0-18, our program will provide a caring place for the BCFCU’s youngest members to learn cooperative values and essential financial literacy skills. All youth members will acquire ownership rights to the credit union, receive a specialized dividend rate on shares, have a minimum balance of just $5.00 and will be invited to youth events hosted by the Credit Union. We have created three separate stages for the Sprout Up Savings program to ensure a great fit for every individual. They are: Seedling Savers, Super Sprouts and Savvy Saplings. Select products will be available for each stage. We are very excited to be adding this new program for our members, and look forward to continually improving it. As all things in nature, we will continue to grow!
We will be celebrating National Credit Union Youth Week and the launch of or new Sprout Up Savings program with a Credit Union Youth Week Party on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the Lafayette Church from 11-3pm. All youth account holders who attend will be eligible to win a Jamis bicycle from Campus Wheelworks!! The bike is on display now at the BCFCU Elmwood office.
