Effective June 30, 2007, the Buffalo Cooperative FCU merged with the Adam Plewacki Post 799 FCU. The Buffalo Cooperative FCU is the continuing credit union. Two board members from the APP799 FCU will join our board.
All members (old and new) will benefit from this merge. On Tuesdays, BCFCU members will be able to conduct transactions at our second office which is located at 385 Paderwski Drive in Buffalo directly opposite the Central Terminal on Buffalo’s east side. We are very excited about the East meets West aspects of this merger!
The merger will also increase the credit union’s assets to $2.8 million. This will generate more revenue for our operations and thereby allow us to increase our staffing, expand our service hours, and our product offerings. We will continue to offer the quality of service and products which you have come to expect from us.
We also have some new faces in the office. Elizabeth (Liz) Shepard and Janice Swinnich have joined our staff, and Carrie is back to pitch in from time to time.
Effective September 4, 2007, our west site office will relocate to 816 Elmwood Avenue. The Office is located on the first floor of the building at the rear of the property. Off-street parking will be available for members. Our new location is located directly opposite the Lexington Co-op. (If you know someone who would be interested in renting our current office, have them contact us and we’ll get them in touch with our landlord)
Our office hours will also change when we move to our new location on September 4, 2007. On the Tuesdays following the baking holidays, Monday hours will be observed at the west side office. If you have any questions about these changes, please call our west side office at (716) 881-4767.
