Member Benefits

When you join the BCFCU, you join a community of people who believe in making their money work locally

As a member you have access to some of the best loan rates and terms around. Our loan officers believe in helping you find the lending solution that best meets your needs. You are also eligible to take advantage of the other services and accounts that the credit union offers.

All savings accounts and basic checking accounts are free. (Nominal charges apply to added features or services such as debit cards or cashier’s checks.)

As a member you can participate in the Credit Union by serving on various committees, which help develop policies and implement strategies for how the Credit Union serves its community. The Board of Directors is elected in March of every year by and for the membership. Any adult member in good standing may be recruited to serve on a committee or be nominated for a seat on the Board.

Member Committees

The Board of the BCFCU has created several committees that allow members to participate more fully in the credit union.

The Policy Committee meets monthly to review and draft the policies that guide the staff in their work. The committee makes recommendations to the board of directors, who is responsible for adopting policy. If you want more information, please contact Brandon Beckinghausen.

The Marketing Committee works with the board and staff to promote the loans and services offered by the credit union. They publish the newsletter and create community outreach. For more information about participation in Marketing, contact John Muldoon.

The Membership Committee is responsible for planning events that strengthen the common bond of the BCFCU community and enhance the member experience. This would include the Annual Meetingfestivities, member education programs, or other community building activities. We currently are in need of a member to chair this committee. If you love event planning and want to help out, contact John Muldoon.

Any of these committees can submit content for the website or the newsletter.
